ABOUT ME

I am a qualified Reflexologist (ABC Level 3 Diploma including anatomy, physiology and pathology) practising for 8 years and loving my work! I trained at The London School of Reflexology under Louise Keet, ‘Britain’s leading Reflexologist’, and my professional membership is with the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). I am a graduate with a First BSc (Hons) in Zoology, and this background in Biology gives me a deep understanding of life processes from the cell level up to the whole person and their environment, and how so many individual factors interplay to determine the wellbeing of the individual.

In September 2013 I focussed on further training in Pre-conceptual, Pregnancy and Postnatal Reflexology, gaining an AOR (Association of Reflexologists) certified diploma in this fascinating and important area. I am myself a mum to a 10 year old boy, so my own experience allows for empathy and understanding of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period... and parenting! I now specialise in Pregnancy Reflexology and usually about 80% of my clients are peri-natal. However, I welcome clients with any concerns, be they physical, emotional, or a combination.

In March 2014 I studied Facial Reflexology with Ziggie Bergman to AOR certified diploma level. During 2015 I completed a Level 3 Diploma qualification in Body Massage with further recent training in abdominal massage and deep tissue massage during 2016. In 2018/19 I have completed a Level 4 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy with Mindfulness and am awaiting my results! In late 2019 I will be completing specialist training in pregnancy massage.

I came to Reflexology through a love of touch therapies as a route to calming and healing, particularly when delivered with a caring approach. Research shows that touch releases the hormone oxytocin that has myriad beneficial effects on us: reducing social anxiety, increasing optimism, aiding healing, pain relief and improving digestion. In Reflexology, the ability to target specific areas of the body through manipulating pressure points on the feet fascinated me, and I am continually amazed by its effectiveness.

I believe strongly that in the Western World many of us do not allow the time and space to focus on ourselves and consider how our lifestyle affects us in the short and longer term. The holistic approach to health can provide this opportunity. Should you wish to explore it, I will aim to help you take control and to focus on simple, tailored changes (perhaps to diet or stress-management techniques) that can make a long-term difference to your emotional and physical well-being.

I practice Mindfulness and Meditation daily to achieve personal balance and come to you with a clear mind to better sense your needs. I am also an experienced leader of meditation groups in a clinical setting and I am always delighted to help clients establish or maintain their own Mindfulness and Meditation practise either in conjunction with Reflexology or separately. My clinical work (reflexology, massage, mindfulness and meditation) has been with The Recover Clinic for treatment of eating disorders in Kensington/Soho over the last 5 years where I have been lucky to be a part of the recovery process for many young women.

I am fully insured to practice as a Reflexologist and Massage therapist. I hold a current first aid for appointed persons

certificate and I speak Spanish. I work with clients from various cultures and backgrounds.
